When I click on my browser it goes to a different site, not Google like it used to?
Chances are your browser has been hijacked. You will need to go into the browser settings and check what home page is set as default. You can also check your current Search Provider under Manage Addons to make sure your preferred search engine is default.
My PC is failing to load windows?
This can indicate a problem with your hard drive. You will need to bring it into the store so we can run some diagnostics on the hard drive. Hopefully you have backups because at times if the hard drive is faulty we will not be able to recover your data.
How does Remote Support work?
We use an encrypted program called TeamViewer which is an extremely secure connection between our workshop computer and your computer. It can only be established at request by the end user. It allows our technician to have complete access to your computer as if they were sitting at your desk, this way you don’t need to try and describe your technical issue as we can see it firsthand. Normally we can diagnose on the spot whether it’s an issue that can be easily fixed over the remote connection, or if you would need to bring it in to the store for further diagnosis or repair.
The image on my screen is distorted or skewed?
You may encounter a distorted image on your screen if your cable is loose or defective. Disconnect your video cable from the back of your tower and ensure there are no bent pins, plug it back in and ensure the screws are tightened also check the plug at the rear of your monitor and plug back in properly. If you still have the same problem you may have an issue with your on-board video adapter/ video card or the monitor itself.
Bring your tower and monitor into the store so we can do some testing, if there is a problem with the on-board video we can generally put in a video card which start at around $50. If the machine already has a video card and you’re having the same problem, we may be able to clean the video card, reseat it back into the slot and it may fix the problem, otherwise we can replace it.
